Tour of Venice between history and traditions - full day trip (with tourleader)
In the morning departure from Lignano / Bibione by coach (GT) to Punta Sabbioni, with arrival at around 10:00 a.m. Boarding of a private motorboat and approximately 45-minute cruise through the lagoon to Venice.
Upon arrival, start of a guided walking tour lasting about one and a half hours to admire some of the city’s most important monuments, squares, and churches. Guests will stroll through picturesque narrow streets, typical “calli” and small squares (“campielli”), immersing themselves in the magical and authentic atmosphere of Venice.
Highlights include the famous Bridge of Sighs, the Doge’s Palace (exterior visit), former residence of the Doges and Presidents of the Republic of Venice, the Porta della Carta carved like delicate lace, and the famous St. Mark’s Square, built on water and surrounded by the Procuratie Vecchie and Procuratie Nuove.
Also visible are the Clock Tower with the two Moors of Venice and the Bell Tower with the Renaissance Loggia by Sansovino.
Walking along the typical “rii”, the small natural canals that run through Venice, guests will reach the beautiful Rialto Bridge, built at the very place where the history of Venice began, spanning the Grand Canal, the city’s main and most fascinating waterway — a true open-air museum lined with some of the most beautiful palaces on the island.
The visit ends near the Rialto Bridge. Free time follows for lunch at a restaurant or a cruise along the Grand Canal with small motorboats (activities not included in the price).
Around 4:00 p.m. departure from Venice by private motorboat to Punta Sabbioni and continuation by coach (GT), with arrival expected around 7:00 p.m.
